Barak Obama: MSM Bipolar on African American support

February 27, 2007 · 1 Comment

The African-American support of Barak Obama is either positive or negative; depending on which MSM report you read.  First we have this from CNN today written by Candy Crowley and Sasha Johnson.

Obama getting a cool reception from black America.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — Polls suggest whites are more likely than blacks to say America is ready for a black president, which may be part of why much of the African-American community is cool to the presidential candidacy of Sen. Barack Obama.

On the very same day we find this in Washington Post.

Black Voters Shift to Obama

The opening stages of the campaign for the 2008 Democratic presidential nomination have produced a noticeable shift in sentiment among African American voters, who little more than a month ago heavily supported Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton but now favor the candidacy of Sen. Barack Obama.

Clinton, of New York, continues to lead Obama and other rivals in the Democratic contest, according to the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll. But her once-sizable margin over the freshman senator from Illinois was sliced in half during the past month largely because of Obama’s growing support among black voters.

This would not be an indication of which candidate that news organization wants to win is it?   If you read these closely;  Barack Obama’s numbers with African-Americans was lower in December but has increased in the past month.

CNN who apparently is in Hillary’s corner highlighted the December numbers.   The Washington post used the newer numbers in a favorable light; both used essentially the same facts.  Of course; both Hillary and Barak are Democrats; CNN and the Washington Post at least agree on that.
